Island of St Marguerite

Two Kay - the boat Susan and David are on was hauled up into the shipyard on St Marguerite yesterday as part of her annual maitenance programme. That's another little part of France for them to see as the Island is about a 15 minute ferry ride from Cannes. David tells me the area is teaming with squid so they are looking forward to lots of calamari !!(David helming on the fly bridge).
In the other photographs you can see the cradle in the water awaiting their approach, alongside is the shipyards' red tug. The tug actually towed the cradle into the water. The second photo is of them being hauled up by the cable lines. You can see the tracks that were the runner guides for the cradle. The other is the folklift barricading them in from the stern to prevent any wash from entering the work area.

Awesome photos Kerry.

I can't help but look at the windows on the houses and wonder who lives on the other side, and what sort of life they lead?

Hope you're happy and well
