Nimes

is also known for its fine Roman architecture. The ampitheatre (Les Arena) is in fact still used for bull fights and said to be the best preserved of all the Roman ampitheatres. I loved the sculpture of the toreodore in the square outside. We checked out the Notre-Dam et St Castor and other interesting features around the town, includingCarree a Roman Temple. Nimes is also known as the place where Denim cloth originated. So much to see and so much I could tell you.
