As part of our trip to Paris Susan organised an excursion out to du Chateau de Versailles. It was the seat of power (Louis XIV) in the 1660's and is the largest chateau in all of Europe.
It's so imposing, the extravagance is unbelievable and the gardens breathtaking.
As a little side note to our trip out there (about 35k's) we drove through the tunnel where Princess Diana died and I was shocked to see how short it was.
