A photo a day - Day 13

Today is day 21 of the Queensland floods. there are now 15 dead and 61 still missing. There are 70 towns across the state that are (or have been) flooded. Goondiwindi is the current town at risk after the Brisbane flood peaked at 4.6 metres last night - below the infamous 1974 flood although this flood has done more damage because the population has grown so much since then so there is more infrastruction. But thank God it stopped raining two days ago.
The Premier Anna Bligh broke down during a media conference today. But it was touching. She has said that when the water subsides the clean up task will be of post war proportions.
Wivenhoe Dam was at 17 percent capacity this time last year - now it's at 195 percent capacity. But with water everywhere towns and cities are running out of water because the electricity sub stations have been damaged and there is no power to pump water to the reservoirs.
We went for a drive today - it was good to see there was some normality around the area close to where we live.
