The drive into Monaco on the Moyenne Corniche is one of the world's most beautiful coastal highways. No wonder that scenery has been used in so many movies. Monaco was first a Greek then Roman colony until it was bought from the Genoese in 1309 by Francois Grimaldi. Its hard to comprehend isn't it when you consider Australia's history. On this visit one of the first things we did was walk around the museum and aquarium which was founded in 1901 by Prince Albert I. Remember marine explorere Jacques Cousteau? He was the director there for 30 years.
