What is trofie, you might ask! It's pasta from the liguria region of Italy - northern Italy, not far from France. David had been telling me how much I would enjoy a paricular dish from that area so Susan cooked it for my last meal of this holiday. It's as simple as you could imagine - fresh green beans, fresh new potato, pesto and pasta - David knows how I LOVE fresh green vegies and that this would be a winner. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! but obviously how it was lovingly cooked by Susan made it extra special.Trenette al Pesto - google it and try it for yourself. I've been able to get trofie pasta at Ferry Road Market and tried cooking it myself but it definitely doesn't come up to Susan's standard.
